Frequently Asked Questions
1. What type of teacher will I have?
For 3 months, you will study with one of our experienced and caring
teachers, and for the following three months have another of our
four teacher . Our teachers are all British nationals with a wide
range of teaching experience; John was a teacher trainer at a large
language school for over ten years, Henryk was a high school teacher
in the UK, Guy has taught EFL in Europe, and James holds a DELTA.
We have all been teaching at UK PLUS since the closure of the British
Council Nagoya in 2005.
2. What are the ages of the students?
We have students from their early twenties to their sixties. However,
the largest age is probable people in their 30s.
3. Do you use hard sales?
No. We never push our customers to buy. We are a product centred

not a sales centred school (i.e. one which focuses on sales and
promotion).

No, we do not charge a retainer fee and your registration fee is

However, we do cater to returnees who take private or pair lessons.

different class in the middle of my enrolment period?
Yes, you can. Our students are free to change classes provided we

periods?
We feel it would be unfair to our stuents who have paid the full
